About Sanctuary Yoga
Sanctuary Yoga is a community studio near Owenton, Kentucky. In this space, owner Tiffany Boutwell facilitates a variety of asana (posture) based yoga classes, including vinyasa and gentle yoga, yin yoga, mindfulness meditation, and mindful movement for kids. Each class is crafted with yoga philosophy found in The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali in mind in order to help each practitioner come into union / harmony with their body and mind, with their community, and with their higher power.
In addition to asana classes, Tiffany offers workshops on other practices of the eight limbs of yoga, including pranayama (breath work). Sanctuary Yoga hosts mini yoga retreats, Thai yoga bodywork, and Reiki.
Our intention for this space is for a to be a sanctuary for your mind, for your body, and for your spirit to find wholeness, oneness, and peacefulness. At Sanctuary Yoga, yoga is more than just postures. It is a philosophy to help unite or yoke the mind and body that encompasses a wide range of physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental exercises. There are many benefits of yoga, and it is practiced to help:
